Borak Reference

Reference Sheet for Borak . I didn't have a good picture of him, so he got a new one, lucky boy

I've now fuzzed the tops of his leg markings, I didn't like them as hard lines...

- Gender: Stallion

- Colours and Markings: Electric Roan colouring. Dark greeny-grey coat with grey stockings and lightning marks. Grey markings over eyes. Dark grey hooves and pale green eyes that give off a faint glow.

- Family: Mate Keira and daughter Jinks

- Personality: He is quiet and steady stallion, who even at a young age was said to have a wise head on young shoulders. He doesn't say much, but when he does it's usually worth listening to. Borak always takes his time over making decisions, making sure to thoroughly think through every option before taking action. He is a pacifist who hates violence and will try his best to avoid a fight, although he will always defend the ones he loves. Borak is very emotional, with mental scars that are healing over time. He was plagued by nightmares after Echo was killed, and these still hit him every now and again. He has great wisdom and the power to see the aura of others, meaning he can see the kind of person they are deep inside themselves. He loves his family deeply, and would do anything to protect them. He can be a bit over-protective due to his past, but this is only out of love for his family. He seems a lot older than he actually is due to his traumatic past.

- History: He lived a simple life and when he was a young stallion he met the love of his life, a sweet and gentle Electric Roan mare called Echo. They fell in love and he took her as his mate. They lead a peaceful life together, content in the company of just each other. After a while they had a foal, a pretty little filly who took after her father in looks. One day Borak left Echo and their filly, who was a few months old, to find new pastures for them. When he returned he found his beloved mate and adored daughter slaughtered by men for their beautiful hides. He was distraught and spent many months simply wandering, unable to know what to do with himself. He traveled alone, a withdrawn and silent stallion who has the light of despair in his eyes. He prefered to be solitary, finding the company of other reminded him to much of what he had lost. He seems a lot older than he actually is due to his traumatic past. One day he met a lively young mare called Keira, and began to feel the stirrings of feelings again. Her infectious good nature and high spirits made him start to come out of his shell again and he started to fall for her. At first he bottled up his feelings, eaten away by guilt, thinking he was betraying Echo by feeling for another. Slowly he came to realise that, contrary to what he had thought, Echo would want him to be happy. Seeing Keira felt the same way, he revealed his feelings for her. Keira slowly helped Borak move on from his painful past, and to become the stallion he was when he met Echo, healing his mental and emotional scars. Soon the pair had a daughter; Jinks. When she was born, Borak again felt the stirrings of pain, comparing Jinks to the daughter he lost, and found himself unable to be near her without remembering what had been, but again this too slowly faded.

- Herd: None, but he stays with Keira and sometimes Jinks.
