For Just One Magical Night

He'd travelled far, and had seen more than many see in a lifetime, far more than you would think for one with such a young-looking body. In all his years, only evident in the fiery orange depths of his eyes, he had seen and romanced many mares, all beautiful creatures that he had treasured in his time with. But nothing he had seen before could be compared to her. As soon as he'd laid eyes on her, he'd known he was seeing something special. Something he'd never seen before, and probably never would again. What exactly that was, however, he couldn't pin down. Whether it was her deep blue coat with its dark celestial markings, or her blonde mane that seemed to glow in the darkness, her sparkling green eyes that gleamed at him like emeralds in the moonlight, or simply the vibrancy and life that shrouded her form like an invisible cloak. As they stood, wrapped around each other under a clear midnight sky that was sparkling with shattered diamonds, her warmth against his shoulder, his nose in the tendrils of her mane, he sighed with contentment, and deep in his mind he knew he would remember this magical night for a long time to come, even after she was long gone.
