Its a sort of tradition at our school that on Prom Day nearly everbody takes the day off for 'Doctor/Dentist/ Optition' Appointments...... aka Hair/Nail/Makeup Appointments
I was in school all day, coz my dad's girlfriend was doing my hair after school (didnt have to pay a penny - score!!). Because so many people were missing, the teachers couldnt be bothered to do proper lessons with us, and just let us mess around, take photos and write in each others leaving books. Last two periods I had double Graphics, and there was only me and two of my friends there out of a class of 30!!! We abandoned our teacher and crashed the Resistant Materials class in the computer room next door. They were missing everyone except my friend Simon and a couple of others. We couldnt be bothered to work, and my teacher had gone MIA..... so we wandered round the school, trashed the classroom and tried to find out how many tables we could slide along..................... Very productive day huh
After school I had my hair done. I had a French Braid with the bottom in a bun, and little curled tendrils round my face. Then did my makeup, buffed my nails and got changed into my awesome dress ([link]). I also had to try and master my high heels. I've never really worn high-heeled shoes before, being a trainers or riding boots girl, and walking in them proved a bit of a challenge.............. When I was ready my mum drove me to a layby near the school, where my dad was waiting with my Prom transport - a tractor!!!! )At my school we have a prize for the best entrance to the Prom, so everybody comes up with really zany ways of getting there. This year we had Fire-engines, Army trucks, and even a toddler-car!!! The winning entrance was a float with a band on it, who then got off at the red carpet.) We drove down the school drive and I walked down the red carpet. How I managed to get down the tractor steps without breaking an ankle or falling is beyond me, coz man those steps are steeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!! We then had to go up the steps and get photographed. After that it was back downstairs for our meal. We had the starter and speech from our Senior Year Manager, and then mingled round and took photos of each other. We then had the main course and pudding (chocolate fudge cake - very yummy!!!!), and then the dancing began. I'm a totally rubbish dancer, I'm like a drunk, three-legged giraffe on stilts... but this was really fun, just messing around with my mates and taking stupid photos
I was sooooooooo tired this morning
*EDIT* If you look in my scraps there are some of my Prom photos
Anyway I'm now on Study Leave, with four weeks of exams ahead of me...... I know I should start revising but I need some chill out time so...........

And that taking a tractor to prom thing is just too cool. We had a minivan.
